Rome started as a small city but grew into a mighty empire stretching from Britain to Egypt. Roman soldiers were the best-trained fighters in the world, carrying heavy shields and sharp swords while building roads wherever they went. These roads were so well-built that many are still used today!

The Romans loved entertainment! In the giant Colosseum, brave gladiators fought wild animals and each other while 50,000 people cheered. Romans also built incredible aqueducts - stone bridges that carried fresh mountain water to their cities through clever engineering.
