Asia stretches from the frozen Arctic Ocean in the north to the warm tropical islands of Indonesia in the south, and from the Ural Mountains in the west to the Pacific Ocean in the east. What makes Asia truly spectacular is its incredible variety and record-breaking features. This amazing continent is home to Mount Everest, the world's tallest mountain at 29,032 feet high, and the Himalayas, the highest mountain range on Earth. Asia also has the world's largest lake (the Caspian Sea), the deepest lake (Lake Baikal), and some of the longest rivers including the Yangtze and Yellow Rivers in China. The continent ranges from scorching hot deserts to freezing cold tundra, from tropical rainforests to snowy mountain peaks!
