This incredible continent is home to the world's largest desert, the longest river, some of the most spectacular animals on our planet, and ancient pyramids that have stood for thousands of years. Africa is a land of endless wonders where every country has its own unique treasures to discover.
Africa is huge - it's the second largest continent and covers about 20% of all the land on Earth! Over 1.4 billion people live here across 54 different countries, speaking more than 2,000 different languages. The continent stretches from the Mediterranean Sea in the north all the way down to where the Atlantic and Indian Oceans meet. Africa has the world's largest hot desert (the Sahara), which is almost as big as the entire United States, and the world's longest river (the Nile), which flows for over 4,000 miles!

What makes Africa absolutely magical is its incredible wildlife and diverse landscapes. The continent is famous for the "Big Five" animals - lions, elephants, buffalo, leopards, and rhinoceros - plus thousands of other amazing species like giraffes, zebras, hippos, and colorful birds. Africa has vast grasslands called savannas where millions of animals migrate each year, tropical rainforests filled with gorillas and chimpanzees, and even penguins living along the southern coasts! The continent also has some of Earth's most spectacular natural wonders, including Victoria Falls and Mount Kilimanjaro.
